April Cunningham is a reporter with the Telegraph-Journal in Saint John, New Brunswick, where she covers local crime and politics. A gradute of the University of Western Ontario’s MA in Journalism program, she has also wrtiten for the Waterloo Ragion Record, the London Free Press and Northern News Service in the Northwest Territories. After completing a BA at Wilfrid Laurier University, April was the edit0r-in-chief of the independent campus newspaper, The Cord Weekly.

Hollis Lai is a PhD student with the Centre for Research in Applied Measurement and Evaluation at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. His research is related to technology integration and applications in the field of psychometrics. Politics is far from his research interests, but he is passionate about raising political discourse and political engagement among young voters.

Dan Polischuk is the Social Media and Marketing Specialist with the Waterloo Management Education Centre (WATMEC) – a training and development firm in Waterloo, ON. As a graduate of the Communication Studies program at Wilfrid Laurier University, Dan has been an editorial board member of the Waterloo Region Record and a News and Sports section editor with the independent campus newspaper The Cord Weekly. He currently volunteers his time as the web content manager for www.laurierfootballclub.com and is a regular writer for ICE Magazine.

Joseph F. Turcotte is a PhD Candidate in the Communication & Culture Program at York University, Toronto, Canada, where he works on issues related to intellectual property rights (IPR), digital media and intersections with contemporary society. He holds a Graduate Assistant position with Professor Rosemary J. Coombe, Canada Research Chair in Law, Communication and Cultural Studies. He also works as a researcher and consultant for various international governance and copyright organizations.
